As co-founder and CFO of ANYTIME, Robin Payne provides both strategic
and financial direction to the company, as well as looking after all
legal and administration affairs.
Before joining ANYTIME, Robin was a Division Director of Macquarie
Bank's Corporate Banking Group. He joined Macquarie Bank in 1993.
In 1996, he established and headed up Macquarie's project and structured
finance business in South East Asia, with operations in Singapore,
Malaysia and Jakarta. He led significant projects that included arranging
transactions on behalf of companies such as Tenaga Nasional Berhad,
Land & General Berhad, Malaysia Airports Berhad and Fraser and
Neave.
In 1999, Robin returned to Sydney to pioneer Macquarie's entertainment
industry group. He was a founding Director of Macquarie Film Corporation,
which successfully bid for and was awarded a licence by the Australian
government to raise public funds for investment in Australian film
and television production.
Robin previously spent 9 years with KPMG in London, Melbourne and
Sydney, where he provided advice to a range of banks and financial
institutions on complex financing arrangements. In addition, he was
a key member of an International KPMG task force, which re-engineered
KPMG's international audit approach, and was appointed to work in
KPMG's international headquarters in Amsterdam.
Robin graduated from Cambridge University with a Masters degree
in Economics. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants
in England & Wales and of the Institute of Chartered Accountants
in Australia.
